PDF Tools AG has won first prize in the DMS 2007 innovation award
For the second time Koelnmesse acknowledged companies for presenting outstanding ideas in the field of document and enterprise content management.

Exclusively registered exhibition visitors were allowed to decide who should be the winner of the award amongst the 14 nominated providers.
Third place went to SOFTPRO GmbH for its newly developed signature tablet SignPad, which allows personal signatures to be captured without paper and digitised. The pad display offers ample space also for capturing longer signatures (e.g. double-barrelled names).
The Enterprise Search Solutions from T-Systems Enterprise Service GmbH came in second place. This Telekom subsidiary convinced the voting audience with its solution that permits Google-based searching by keywords in all corporate electronic data and documents.
First place went to PDF Tools AG for its product 3-Heights PDF to PDF/A converter. This software converts PDF files into PDF/A files - the ISO standard for long-term archiving. To do this, the original PDF files are first analysed, before subsequently being converted into PDF/A on the basis of the analysis results with the highest possible degree of conformance.
"With this solution, PDF Tools AG supports companies decisively in ensuring that any PDF files remain readable in our fast-moving IT age for many years to come," said Franca Born, Head of IT and Digital Entertainment at Koelnmesse GmbH, in praise of the winning company.
